Future of Everything for Wall Street Journal
The Future of Everything is a Wall Street Journal magazine exploring trends across industries like food, travel, sports, and technology. They asked Sagmeister & Walsh to create a photo series to tell the story of CRISPR, a powerful technology that edits genomes and allows researchers to alter DNA sequences.
In the age of CRISPR, scientists aren’t just reshaping the natural world—they’re redefining what’s “natural.” With the ability to genetically manipulate eggs and revive extinct species, the imagery and design for the feature play with the idea of bringing creatures like pterodactyls and mammoths back to life in our lifetime.
